Our History

Lighthouse Institute School's Story

Lighthouse Institute School's story began in the most humble of settings. In 2010, a vision for reimagining education, was shared by the directorate with a small group of passionate students and parents who believed in the possibility of a different kind of school. From that first group of students and dedicated staff, Lighthouse earned its name from very good results.

Starting with just few students in a single mixed-age classroom, the school became a reality, growing from the director's vision to reimagine education for the 21st century. The school's founding principles emphasized mastery-based learning, student agency, and real-world application of knowledge—moving beyond traditional grade levels and fixed academic schedules.

Today, Lighthouse Institute continues to evolve and grow while maintaining its commitment to being a model for educational innovation, serving as a successful independent private school.
